Felt When Felt

When i think of felt and its size and weight as a tactile experience in combination with its primitive making process, i cant really see its association with the dainty, fine and intricate. So i feel the exact opposite approach would be appropriate. Not so much bulky and cumbersome rather something that would feel substantial, sizeable and ...moderate (for search of a better word) in your hand.

The design and creative implications of this would for example be using a significantly heavier GSM paper, that also would have been cold pressed. Hence adding to the tactile experience that emily also discussed, due to cold pressed papers pronounced surface, (we could even use torn edges on the postcard for example to add to the touchie feelie vibe). Another application of this idea would be in the website, in giving buttons and links a visual texture that would entice the viewer into touching the screen.

See you all soon,
